Throughout this national trial, many church leaders have focused on the last days and prophetic words within the book of Revelation. I, however, would like to point out that it is the Revelation of Jesus Christ, so that everywhere we look, we should see Jesus. I have been going through Revelation with the sole purpose of discovering who Christ is in it by identifying His names. It is as complete as I can make it, but perhaps your translation provides different names. Besides each name is the verses in which I found it.
One interesting discovery in this short study is that God, in all of His attributes, is mentioned most often, with the Lamb, Lord God, the One who sits on the Throne, and the Almighty regularly mentioned. What does that mean during our times of trial? It reemphasizes that redemption is God’s priority, that the sacrifice of the Lamb covers us, and that He remains on the throne regardless of the opinions of others. He has not abdicated it, nor has He abandoned His Lordship. God remains sovereign and is continually seeking to reconcile man to Himself. His hand is stretched out still.
I pray you are encouraged by this list and will praise Him with us, as we honor the King of kings and Lord of lords.
