Mary Positioned Herself for the Promise, Day 6
Reading, Luke 1:39-45
If there is a universal truth, it is this: women love to interact. (You were expecting something else, I know). So, it is not astounding to find that Mary wanted to confirm the pronouncement upon hearing that Elizabeth was expecting. After all, she would bring a babe into the world herself in the next several months. Upon seeing Mary, Elizabeth’s babe leaped, and she prophesied, asking, "And how has it happened to me, that the mother of my Lord would come to me?"

Just as the angel had declared to Mary, “For nothing will be impossible with God,” Mary positioned herself not only as an observer of what God was doing in the lives of others but as a participant as well. She had to leave one place to go to where God had shown up, and in this place, you can be sure she prepared herself to give birth by watching Elizabeth. But it wasn't just the physical Mary would learn. She positioned herself in a place where judgment would not be passed against her step of faith. She set herself in the home of those who knew the power of God, a couple who were also walking into the realm of God's possibilities as they awaited the arrival of John.
By living in the home of a priest, Mary was equipping herself for the task God had assigned to her. Have you positioned yourself to participate in what God is doing in and for others while preparing for the next phase of what God is doing in your life? Positioning yourself is an act of faith, and God blesses belief. He is a rewarder of faith. Do you believe the fulfillment of what God has spoken into your life will come to pass? If so, position yourself to participate in God's priorities. You'll be blessed for it.
